The history of Nepali media and European media is old. The History of European Media goes to in the 15th Century Printing Revolution where as Nepali Media goes to in 1851 in Rana Regime, the First Press of Nepal was Gidde Press. The relationship between Nepali media and European media is influenced by diplomatic relations between Nepal and the European Union, cooperation and common challenges, Which can be briefly explained as follows.

1. Historical impact:
European media, especially countries such as UK, Italy, Germany, France have influenced global journalistic standards. Nepali media has adopted many of these practices such as objective, reporting, independence editorial, investigative journalism and so on .
2. Development and Structure:
European Medias Highly developed, technologically advanced and often operating under strong legal frameworks ensuring press freedom. Its positive influence is growing rapidly in Nepali media as well. These include newspapers, radio, TV and increasingly digital newsletters. However, Nepali media is facing challenges such as political pressure and limited resources.
3. Liberty of the Press:
Europe generally prefers high Press Liberty with independent regulatory bodies while Nepal has constitutional press freedom . Although sometimes journalists are forced to face restrictions, political influence, or security concerns. But comparatively European countries are higher than Nepal in terms of press freedom
4. Broadcasting Materials:
Compared to Nepali media, European medias cover global issues such as international politics, economy, science and national issues more widely than Nepali media. Therefore Nepali media must try to broadcast news and articles in various foreign languages such as French, Deutsch, Spanish, Chinese, Canadian, Icelandic, Irish, Portuguese as well as other foreign languages.
5. Collaboration in Information :
The opportunity for Nepali journalists to train with the help of European institutions is increasing. However, positive outcome is not fully satisfied. Likewise Nepali Medias have been sharing the broadcasting subject matters of International news agencies as the content. Though, the themes of Nepali society such as literature, culture, and tourism have not been sufficiently globalized still now.
6. Digital transformation :
This is the Era of globalization and technology. Both Nepali media and European media are moving towards digital media. Europe is leading AI journalism, data journalism and Nepal is impressed with online news portals and social media .
Thus, what can be said in essence is that the relationship between Nepali media and European media is positive and exemplary. European media have positively shaped professional standards in Nepal and Nepali media is imitating those standards within its own cultural, physical, political and economic context. In today’s era of globalization, it seems necessary to publish news and articles in international languages such as Chinese, French, and Spanish in Nepali media and for this financial and technical international support is needed .
